Environmental engineering is the application of science and engineering principles to improve the environment (air, water, and/or land resources), to provide healthy water, air and land for human habitation and for other organisms, and to remediate polluted sites. It also includes studies on the environmental impact of proposed construction projects. In these fields FAIRALI has designed several projects regarding rehabilitation of old mines, bio-energy / waste-to-energy projects, bio-agricultural area, and green energy solutions etc. as well as solar systems for private housing. Several researches and feasibility studies have been done in this field for both private and governmental clients and organizations.

Waste to energy Solutions is the renewable fuel source which provides energy.  It can include any plant matter burned to produce heat or electricity, any plant or animal matter used to make fibers and chemicals, and any bio degradable wastes used as fuel.  Biomass can also be derived to produce bio-fuels.  Pure biomass still produces air pollution, but the cost can be offset by the fact that carbon is sequestered, or stored, in biomass crops, such as in a root system.  Using biomass for fuel can also help eliminate waste which would otherwise pile up and contribute to global warming. Scientists are working on ways to make bio-energy a more widespread and effective means of renewable energy production.  For example, currently, lots of America’s and European energy supply comes from biomass. The goal of bio-energy engineering is to see that number go up in the future, worldwide.

 

In the environmental field FAIRALI did researched on and designed several projects regarding co-development of an eco-prefab building system in Suriname, rehabilitation of old / closed mines, bio-energy / waste-to-energy projects, bio-agricultural area, etc. Also possibilities of solar systems for private housing and several researches and feasibility studies have been done in this field for both private and governmental clients and organizations.
